Hi, I'm Ruben.

I started Hexagon Pest Control to build something of my own — a business built on quality, accountability, and work that actually means something. Not to make a quick buck, but to create something I'm proud of and that gives my family a solid foundation for the future.

I'm a licensed South Australian pest control technician based in Adelaide's northern suburbs. When you book with Hexagon, you deal with me directly — not a call centre, not a subcontractor. I do the quote, I do the inspection, and I do the treatment. Whether you need pest control in Para Hills, a termite inspection in Salisbury, or rodent removal in Tea Tree Gully — I'm the one who shows up.

The Story Behind Hexagon

A Long Way From
El Salvador

The Beginning

New country. Fresh start.

Ruben Morataya arrived in Australia at eight years old, moving from El Salvador with his family. Like many migrants, he grew up learning to adapt — building stability through persistence and hard work rather than anything that was handed to him. That instinct never left.

Building Experience

Different industries. One consistent standard.

Over the years, Ruben worked across administration, logistics, retail, automotive, and healthcare support. A move to regional South Australia broadened that further. Each role added something — structure, reliability, the ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems without drama. He became the person organisations leaned on when things needed to actually work.

The Turning Point

Contributing to others' businesses — or building his own.

Ruben spent years as the go-to person in a medical centre — handling maintenance, operations, and day-to-day problem solving that kept the place running. The work was solid and the environment demanded high standards. But it became clear he was building someone else's business. That realisation, combined with wanting to create a secure future for his family, was the turning point.

Training & Certification

Qualified. Then hands-on. Then ready.

Before launching Hexagon, Ruben completed formal certification in both general pest management and termite control. Rather than going straight into business, he chose to gain additional hands-on experience working with an established company first — so that from day one, every job would be done to a genuinely high standard. His healthcare background reinforced what pest control also demands: attention to detail, strict protocols, and no shortcuts.
