Who we are

Hexagon Pest Control (ABN 84 694 763 981) is a pest control business based in Adelaide's northern suburbs, owned and operated by Ruben. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" means Hexagon Pest Control.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What information we collect

When you contact us by phone, text, email or our website form: your name, phone number, email address, property address and details of your pest problem.
When we do a job: the property address, the treatment carried out, products used, and notes and photos of the job. We keep treatment records because good practice and our licensing obligations require it.
When you visit our website: general information about your visit, such as pages viewed, how you found us, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city level). See "Website analytics" below.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry and give you a quote.
To book, carry out and follow up on your job.
To send invoices and receipts.
To keep the treatment records we're required to keep.
To understand how people use our website so we can improve it.

We don't sell your information, and we don't send you marketing unless you've asked us to.

Who we share it with

We only share your information when we need to, for example:

Netlify, which hosts our website and receives contact form enquiries.
Google, which provides our website analytics and email.
Xero, our accounting software, for quotes, invoices and payments.
Our accountant, for tax and bookkeeping.
Government authorities, if the law requires it.

Some of these providers store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.

Website analytics and cookies

Our website uses Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use the site. This information is grouped together and doesn't tell us who you are. We use it to see which pages are useful and how people find us.

How we look after it

We keep your information in password-protected accounts and devices, and only use it for the reasons above. We keep job records for as long as we need to for legal, tax and licensing purposes, then delete them.

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Just contact us using the details below.
